This understanding reshaped our mission - pushing us to create a meaningful impact beyond the world of fragrance. This is the foundation of our social initiatives.
DUKHNI AMAL PROJECT
Our work has always been guided by a deep belief in the power of fragrance to uplift the human spirit. Rooted in tradition and shaped by responsibility, this passion naturally grew into a desire to create impact beyond the world of scent. That intention inspired the launch of Dukhni Amal Project.
A wing focused on restoring hope and dignity through support in food security, education, medical aid, environmental preservation, and essential needs. Following are a few of our initiatives:

HOT MEALS IN YEMEN
Dukhni’s journey began in 1907 in Aden, Yemen—home to our heritage and the roots of our craft. As Yemen continues to face severe hardship, hot meals have become a lifeline for families in need.
To support this crisis, the Dukhni Amal Project partnered with One Nation UK to provide hot meals in Aden. Our first contribution helped feed 250 people, offering nourishment, warmth, and hope.
This is only the beginning, every Dukhni purchase helps us extend this impact to more communities.
HOT MEALS IN GAZA
Gaza is facing a severe humanitarian crisis, with over a million people at risk of starvation and families displaced from their homes. Islamic Relief, alongside the UN World Food Programme, has provided over 36 million hot meals, offering vital relief to thousands daily. Through the Dukhni Amal Project, we contributed to this effort by helping provide hot meals to 125 individuals in Gaza.
Every Dukhni purchase supports initiatives like this, bringing nourishment and hope to those in need. Together, we can continue extending compassion—one meal, one moment of relief at a time.
AID FOR REFUGEES
January in Lebanon brings freezing temperatures, making life extremely difficult for thousands of Syrian refugees living in fragile tents. With little income and limited resources, families struggle to stay warm, and children and the elderly are especially vulnerable.
To help, the Dukhni Amal Project partnered with One Nation UK through their Cold Days, Warm Hearts initiative.
Warm winter essentials - hats, scarves, gloves, and jackets—were distributed to refugee families in the Beqaa Valley. This support offered not just physical warmth but a sense of comfort and dignity during a harsh winter. Through the Dukhni Amal Project, we remain committed to helping vulnerable communities wherever we can.
ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP
Yemen is facing a severe humanitarian crisis, with millions of children— including 1.1 million orphans—living without basic necessities.
Through the Dukhni Amal Project, we are sponsoring Naif Al-Zuhairi, a 13-year-old orphan from Sana’a who is determined to continue his education despite difficult living conditions.
Naif lives with his mother and six siblings in a small rented flat with limited water, sanitation, and electricity.
Our sponsorship helps provide his school supplies, food, and essential support for at least one year.
Every Dukhni purchase contributes to initiatives like this, bringing hope to children who need it most.
AROMAFUME EARTH PROJECT
Aromafume was born from a deep reverence for nature. Every ingredient we use such as frankincense, sandalwood, vetiver, palo santo is drawn from the earth, shaped by ecosystems that took centuries to form.
That reverence comes with responsibility.
The Aromafume Earth Project is our formal commitment to protecting the natural world that makes our craft possible. Through a verified partnership with Earthly - an independent nature-based solutions platform, every Aromafume purchase contributes to reforestation, carbon removal, biodiversity restoration, and community livelihoods. The impact is real, measured, and publicly tracked.
REFORESTATION
The Aromafume Earth Project funds reforestation through Earthly's independently verified projects, with a commitment to growing this work across multiple ecosystems over time.
To date, the Aromafume Earth Project has contributed to planting 4,500 trees. Our first investment is in mangrove reforestation in Madagascar , one of the most deforested coastlines on earth. Mangroves are exceptional trees: a single one removes an estimated 308 kg of CO₂ over its lifetime, while sheltering fish, stabilising shorelines, and protecting coastal communities from storms. Over 90% of Madagascar's original forests have been lost. We are helping plant them back.

CARBON IMPACT
Carbon commitments are only meaningful when they can be verified.
The Aromafume Earth Project funds carbon removal through Earthly's independently audited reforestation projects. Every kilogram of CO₂ offset is tracked in real time on a public dashboard , visible to anyone who wants to see it. There are no estimates, no rounding up, and no greenwashing.
To date, the Aromafume Earth Project has contributed to removing 5.4 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere. The mangroves we currently fund store carbon in two ways: in their canopy above water, and in their root systems and coastal sediments below, locking it away for centuries, not decades.

COMMUNITY
Reforestation only holds when the people living beside the forest have a reason to protect it. The projects we fund through Earthly use an 'employ to plant' model , local community members are paid fair wages to collect seeds, raise saplings, plant trees, and protect the forest as it grows. Deforestation and poverty are the same problem seen from different angles; this approach tackles both at once.
To date, our contributions have supported 10 months & 8 community workdays. Globally, the Eden Restoration programme behind our current projects has created over 3 million paid workdays since 2007. The Aromafume Earth Project is proud to be part of that story. Every Aromafume purchase extends this impact, one tree, one livelihood, one forest at a time.
